This isn't an inverter — it's Honda's conventional generator line, which means it lacks the ultra-clean sine wave the EU series produces, but it's built with the same reliability standard and a real 7,000W surge for 10 seconds that helps with hard motor starts a straight 5,000W rating wouldn't suggest. 63 dBA at 50% load is genuinely quieter than most open-frame units this size, though not inverter-quiet. At 226.4 lb and $2,799, it costs more than a comparable Champion or Westinghouse open-frame unit — the premium buys Honda's engine and parts network, not extra output.
