The installer's take

7,000W running (8,500W surge) is enough for a well pump, central AC, and the rest of a must-run list at once, delivered at 61 dBA instead of the 68-74 dBA an open-frame unit this size would produce — the enclosed inverter design is the whole reason to pay more here. At 216.5 lb it's built to be wheeled into place and left there for the outage, not carried. Gasoline-only, so no propane fallback if that's part of your fuel plan.
